English

Learning at the CCA

The Centro Colombo Americano is a cultural foundation with one of the oldest and largest English language programs in the country. All activities are central to the mission of the institution, but the most important and well-known is without a doubt its English Language Program, serving around 65,000 students a year. Generations of Bogotanos have headed to the Colombo for English classes, and presently can choose from one of our five programs:

  • The Adult English Program, offering courses to students age 16 and up, Monday – Friday, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • The Kids and Teens Program (KTP), for children, teenagers and young adults on Saturdays.
  • The Blended English Program, combining face-to-face classes once a week with a learning management system for adult learners.
  • The University Program, serving several universities throughout the city.
  • The TEFL Certificate Program, combining high quality training for teachers with the ease of up-to-date online learning environments.

Description

The Cultural Department of the Centro Colombo Americano is committed to promoting and fostering excellence through artistic expressions, thereby enhancing the quality of life of all of Bogota´s citizens, regardless of their economic, social and educational status.

The Colombo Cultural Program is unique and varied, positioning it as the culture innovator. In an attempt to fill a niche not taken by local museums, galleries or other cultural institutions, the Colombo has design binational programs in art, music, conferences and movies free to general public. Covering national and international cultural interest through art.

The Center has a 400-seat auditorium, three exhibition spaces and uses other locations within the city. The program has been so successful that in the last 4 years, we have attracted over 21,000 enthusiastic participants.
